Debi had always wanted to visit New England to see it's vibrant fall colors, so she booked a cruise to take us up the coast to Canada.  We flew to New York to start our journey. We enjoyed the view as we cruised  out into the busy harbor past the Statue of Liberty.

Our first stop was Boston, where we booked a bus tour to see it's main attractions.  We enjoyed the contrast between modern buildings like the Hancock Tower and the historic buildings like the 18th century Trinity Church.  We visited the Freedom Trail and the busy Quincy Market.  We finished our tour and then decided to explore the waterfront near the ship.  A small restaurant with a lobster outside caught our eye and we enjoyed a great lunch of  lobster bisque and chowder.  We kept looking for fall color, but the warm weather had delayed it's arrival.

The ship headed north and we enjoyed the scenery as we cruised up the coastline, to Newport. It was a tender port and we we not able to go ashore, but we enjoyed watching all the sailboats in the harbor.  The wind picked up as we headed towards Bar Harbor, Maine and the seas got rough we had a bumpy ride.
